Ado Odo Ota Local Government Chairman Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA has officially flagged off the year 2025 Immunisation program tagged the "The Big- Catch Up Exercise" in the Council area. The event took place at the Primary Health Centre Ota.
In his opening remarks, the Council Boss emphasized the importance of immunization as a preventive measure against diseases among children. He encouraged parents to take advantage of the free medical programs to ensure a healthy future for their children. He urged the gathering at the flag-off of the program to encourage other parents to allow their children to benefit from the exercise.
Hon. Lawal Adewale, reiterated the commitment of the State Government to healthcare, highlighting its significance in the administration of the Governor of Ogun State Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, who has prioritized healthy living for the people the State.
The Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Mrs Tomi Coker who was ably represented by Mrs kinrin Iretioluwa, urged parents and guardians to prioritize early immunization. She also stated that, early immunization prevents various childhood diseases.
The Health Secretary of Ado Odo Ota Local Government Health Authority Board, Dr. Bakare Jeleel Adediran , welcomed and thanked the nursing mothers for their dedication to securing a healthy life for their children. He also encouraged them to raise awareness among other citizens about the program.He added that, the program will run for six days in the council area.
This exercise aims to provide essential healthcare services and underscores the dedication of government to accessible healthcare for communities throughout the Council area.
