The Chairman of Ado Odo Ota Local Government Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA has charged the newly sworn in Secretary to the Local Government Mr Mohammed Ogabi not to work in isolation but harmoniously within the Management in order to move the Council area to a greater height. He made this statement during the inauguration of Mr Mohammed Ogabi as the newly appointed Secretary to the Local Government held today at the Council Secretariat.
The Chairman appreciated the dynamic and indefatigable Governor of Ogun State His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON for his support towards the appointment of a competent and vast son of the soil, in person of Mr Mohammed Ogabi as the Secretary to the Local Government. He equally extended his appreciation to the Deputy Governor of the State Her Excellency Engr. Noimot Salako- whom he described as a a true and worthy leader of the Council area.
While welcoming the newly sworn in Secretary, Hon. Lawal Adewale advised him not to see the position as jamboree but a call to duty. In his words " you are to buckle your shoes, knot your tie and be ready to plough back to our people who are yearning for dividends of democracy".
*Avoid back biting, side talk and adhere strictly to the Statutory Obligation of your office as enshrined in the Local Government Law".
In his appreciation speech, the newly appointed Secretary Mr Mohammed Ogabi, expressed his gratitude to Almighty God and the Governor of Ogun State His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON for the opportunity given to serve the people of Ado Odo Ota Local Government. He equally thanked the Chairman for his fatherly advise and promised to give his best for the betterment of the Council area. He extended his appreciation to the political functionaries, career staffers, party leaders, party faithfuls and the people of the Council area for the opportunity to serve under the led administration of Hon Lawal Adewale Wasiu.
The highlight of the event was the oath of allegiance taken by the Secretary officiated by Administrative Officer Mr Isikalu Goriola FCPA and the presentation of appointment letter to Mr Mohammed Ogabi as the Secretary by the Chairman.
Dignitaries present at the event were, the Leader of Ado Odo Ota Legislative Council Hon.Gbadamosi Mutairu ACA , Honourable Councillors, former Transition Committee Chairman Hon. Sodiq Ojumo, the Head of Local Government Administration Alhaji Junaid Babatunde Wasiu FCA, Heads of Departments,Ado Odo Ota Local Government Health Secretary Dr Bakare Jeleel, Union leaders, party faithfuls amongst others.
