The comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, Ogun State Command , Aliyu Muhammed Akadiri, today paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Ado Odo Ota Local Government Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA at the Council Secretariat.
While welcoming the Comptroller, the Council Boss Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA, appreciated the Comptroller for the visit and assured him of the readiness of his Administration to collaborate with the Nigeria Immigration Service to curb insecurity and illegal migrants within the Council area. He also commended the approach of the NIS Boss for reaching out to the the government at the local level. He called for synergy between the Council and NIS for the betterment of the residents of the Local Government area and the State as a whole.
Earlier speaking, the State Comptroller Aliyu Muhammed Akadiri thanked the Council Boss for his time and commended his efforts at promoting peace and order within the Council area. He highlighted the critical roles that local authorities play in maintaining national security. He also reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Immigration Service in supporting initiatives aimed at tackling illegal migration, human trafficking, and other immigration related issues within the Council area. He called the attention of the Council Boss to the vandalization of the Nigeria Immigration Service Office at Agbara by miscreants who has been on rampage at the axis.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of an Award of Recognition to the Council Boss for his efforts at combating illegal migrants within the Council area by the State Comptroller of NIS Ogun Command.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Alh. Junaid Wasiu Babatunde FCA thanked the NIS Boss and his team for the visit and prayed for a better Ado Odo Ota Local Government area.
