Ado Odo Ota Local Government Christian Fellowship, recently held the year 2024 Christmas Carol Service at the Chief Nasiru Deinde Memorial Hall of the Secretariat.
The Chairman of the Council, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA, thanked Almighty God for his infinite mercy over members of staff, political functionaries and the people of the Council area. He urged the gathering to imbibe the spirit of togetherness and embrace peace during and after festive period
The guest preacher, Pastor Jayeola George, picked his text from the book of Luke , chapter 2, Verse 1-5, he informed the gathering that, the only one that can guarantee good news and everlasting peace during challenges, tribulation or distress is Jesus.
Earlier speaking, the Chairman, of the year 2024 Carol committee, Mr Isikalu Goriola FCPA appreciated God for the opportunity to serve and be partaker in the celebration. He implored Christians to extend the hands of generosity and brother lines towards mankind.
The choir of the Christian Fellowship of the Council, rendered several melodious songs at the service which also featured Evangelist Ifeoluwa Ope as a guest artist
The highlight of the event was the reading of lessons by the Council Boss, who read the sixth Bible lesson of the Carol service from the book of Psalm chapter 2, verses 6-11. While the Head of Local Government Administration Alhaji Junaid Wasiu Babatunde read the fifth Bible lesson from the book of Psalm chapter 117, verses 1-2.
Present at the occasion were, the Director of agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr Kikisagbe Kayode, Head of General Services and Administration, Mr Akinde Bisi, Head of Education, Information and Sports, Mr Alabi Sheriff, Head of Works and Housing Department, Engr. Oladeinde Dapo, Head of Budget Planning Research and Statistics, Mrs Daramola Olubukola, Asst. Director of Water And Environmental Sanitation Department, Mrs Akintade Roseline, The Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees Ado Odo Ota Branch Chairman, Comrade Moshood Ayoyemi Jamiu amongst others.
