Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Lawal has called for peaceful co-existence between the legislative arms of the local government and its executive council.
He made this clarion call during the inauguration of the 9th Legislative Council which took place inside the Legislative Chamber on Monday, 25th November, 2024.
He charged the legislative members to see
their position as call to service and development of their various wards and Ado-Odo Ota as a whole.
He further said that the role of the legitimate council is to enact law that will contribute to the development of the local government, by formulating plans, strategies and motions that can move the local government forward. "Though we cant do without misunderstanding but must settle internally and amicably among ourselves. A word is enough for the wise", he affirmed
The newly elected leader of the house, Hon. Gbadamosi Mutairu representing ilogbo ward, in his acceptance speech, promised to make positive history to the entire citizenry of local government area.
He assured to strive hard to see to the development of the local government by ensuring dividend of democracy are evenly and widely spread to every nook and cranny of the local government area.
He boldly remarked "every Ado-Odo Ota people will be proud of legislative members achievement at the end of their tenure". Lastly, he promised to work hand in hand with executive council with mutual and consistency dialogue to carry out their duties.
Dignitaries that attended the inauguration, Ogun state governors His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun ably represented by Chief Jide Ojuko, Senior Special Adviser, Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Alhaja Noimot Salako-Oyedele, represented by Hon. Kola Salako, Senior Special Adviser to the Deputy Governor, party faithful, friends and well wishers.
