CSR: TRACE Receives More Support On Iyana - Ilogbo Junction Road Repair |Omohglobalnews

Following the deterioration  of the repaired Iyana-Ilogbo junction on the Sango Abeokuta expressway, repaired recently by Nigerian Foundries Limited, Ota with assistance from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, TRACE, Ijako Unit, Amedgashak Nigeria Limited firms has taken the responsibility to follow up with another repair after deterioration.


According to CDR. Aduroja Ariyo, the Unit Commander of the Agency at Ijako, who spoke on behalf of CDR Ajibade A.A,  “The decision to approach the Company for assistance in fixing the failed portion of the Expressway complies with a directive by Prince ‘Seni Ogunyemi, TRACE CC/CE, who commanded our various Commands to solicit assistance from Corporate Organisations within their axis to utilize their CSR for road repairs where necessary.”


 Ogun West Area Commander of the Agency, said, Amedgashak Nigeria Limited, in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility decided to carry out another repair of the Iyana-Ilogbo junction after the collapse of the first palliative repairs carried out on Saturday 22, June, occasioned by the heavy vehicular traffic on the highway.

She added that, Amedgashak Nigeria Limited provided cash for the procurement of core stones and gravels that were used to fill up the failed portion by Operatives of the Agency who dutifully assisted in the palliative work ahead of the expected full repairs of the highway as announced by Ogun State government.


While commending the Management of Amedgashak Nigeria Limited for the goodwill, Prince Ogunyemi urged other corporate organizations to emulate the kind gesture demonstrated by the Company by assisting communities where they are located in the repairs, maintenance, and the promotion of safety on the roads, saying, “my appeal also goes to the motoring public to abide by traffic rules and regulations, while also contributing to the preservation of the roads which is a shared asset, because safe and responsive driving is a task for all and sundry.”
