Tinubu on parade
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has slipped while boarding the parade vehicle at the venue of the 2024 Democracy Day.
The President had approached the vehicle shortly after he arrived at the Eagles Square, Abuja venue of the programme on Wednesday morning.
It was unclear from the video of his fall whether he was caught in the web of his flowing agbada, causing a misstep, or that he was battling an unsteady gait due to possible ill health.
The guards around him were unable to prevent the Nigerian president from taking a tumble and hitting the floor of the vehicle.
However, despite the slip, the President quickly regained his balance and continued with the proceedings.
The event at Eagles Square was part of a series of events to mark the country’s Democracy Day celebration.
