Olota Commends CU, Living Faith at AOOLG Corporate Awards of Recognition |Omohglobalnews

The Olota of Ota, HRM Oba Professor Abdukabir Adeyemi Obalanlege,Chairman, Awori Obas Forum, Ogun State, has commended Covenant University and Living Faith (Winners Chapel) for their developmental projects and  contributions in Ado Odo Ota Local Government areas and its environs. 

Obalanlege made this commendation ,during the  Ado-Odo /Ota Local Government, 2023 Maiden  Corporate Appreciation and Recognition Awards held at, His Grace Event Centre, in Ota, on 31st January, 2024.

He applauded the great Covenant University for touching lives  through its Community Initiative Impact Development (CU-CIID), which has contributed immensely to the growth and development of  Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area. 

His majesty specifically mentioned various project executed through  (CU-CIID), which include the recent ICT training and empowerment of 130 Ota Youths in order  to remove idleness from every nook and cranny of the community . Adding that provision of borehole for  markets, transformers to various communities, renovation of Iju Health Clinic, free medical services, free eye glasses to both old and young during health programs, gift donation to orphanage homes etc are part of their numerous projects. 

Earlier on, the Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government,  Engr. Sheriff Adewale Musa (FCPA),also commended Dr. Oyedepo, General Overseer, Living Faiths on various  developmental project undertaken by the church, saying,  "I cannot alone appreciate our most adored and amiable Father, Bishop Oyedepo and the Living Faith (Winners Chapel) whom God has blessed Ado-Odo Ota Local Government, with his unrelenting effort at ensuring that our roads (Federal, State and Local) remain motorable all the seasons. " May God Almighty continue to bless you Sir",  he concluded.

Engr. Sheriff, also appealed to other corporate organisations in Ota, to ensure they impact on their various host communities and emulate what CU and Winner Chapel have been doing. 

The Guest Speaker, Dr Bolaji Femi, during his lecture, with the theme  " Advancing The Local Government through Public-Private Partnership(PPP)" enlightened the audience on advantages the corporate world tend to gain in performing their social corporate responsibility.

According to the chairman of the planning committee, Prince Kamorudeen Aina, The Corporate Awards of Recognition is meant to celebrate the business community,  to give adequate recognition to some of the business organisations that have added value to Ado-Odo Ota development effort, through the fulfilment of their Corporate Social Responsibility to their host communities, the government and good people of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government at large, also to challenge other organisations to join the train of developing Ado-Odo Ota Local Government.

Other corporate bodies recipient of the award at the 2023 Maiden Corporate Appreciation and Recognition Awards include : Shell Nigeria Gas, Tempo Paper Pulp and Packaging Limited, Cway Foods and Beverages, Nigeria Bottling Company (Coca-Cola), Fidson Healthcare Plc, Veepee, West Africa Gas Pipeline, Ambassador Group of Schools, Ace Medicare, Lions International, Rotary Club and host of others. 

Dignitaries that graced the events included, The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government, Engr. Sheriff Adewale a e Musa, Olota of Ota, HRM Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Alágbára of Agbára,Oba Abimbola Jayeola Agunbiade, Onijoko of Ijoko, Oba Fatai Amoo Matanmi, Onitetiku,  Onilogbo of Ilogbo, Oba Bar. Samuel Ojugbele, represented by Chief Gafar Dad's, Osolo of Ilogbo, Onitetiku, Chairman of Ambassador Group of Schools, Rev. Dr Osewa, Legislative Council Members, Head of Service. Captains of industries, Representatives of Manufacturing Associations of Nigeria, Ota Branch, past chairmen, past senators and host of other dignitaries.
