The Executive Chairman of Ado odo Ota Local Government Engr. Sheriff Adewale Musa FCPA has joined millions of Nigerians most especially Christian faithfuls to celebrate Easter.
Engr.Musa, urged Christians to use the occasion for sober reflection and imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, sacrifice and tolerant as examplified by Jesus Christ. In his words, ”Easter is indeed the foundation of the Christians faith and the resurrection of Christ is the final confirmation of victory over death”.
While calling on residents of the Council area, he urged them to see the Easter period as a time that affords everyone to think about how they can help steer the Nation back on the road to prosperity by working with the Government in the spirit of togetherness. He equally enjoined the people to continue to pray for God’s interventions in the state of affairs of the nation.
The council boss also charges the people to imbibe and live the values of humility, discipline, perseverance, sacrifice and obedience which Jesus Christ demonstrated during his stay on earth. He added that, there is no better opportunity than now for all Christians in particular and Nigerians in general to remain faithful and hopeful that with intensified prayers backed by personal and collective responsibility, the nation shall pull through difficult times.
Engr. Sheriff prayed for the unity and stability of Nigeria, he stated that whatever circumstances, I encourage you to make the most of the situation and to keep safe. He then wished all Nigerians most especially Christian faithfuls love and happiness that only Easter can bring. He also wished the people a joyous celebration.
