Tambuwal Seeks Extension of Time, Adequate Security|Omohglobalnews

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal has called for an extension of time to enable more people to vote.

He noted that there were security lapses due to inadequate arrangements at some polling units.

The also raised the alarm over delay in arrival of INEC officials and materials at some polling units.

He urged the electoral body to extend time and ensure eligible voters on the queue were not disenfranchised.

He said: “Security agents are overwhelmed in some areas.”
