The Local Government of distinction, Ado Odo/Ota Local Government under the leadership of Engr. Seriff Adewale Musa FCPA made history today during the inauguration ceremony of newly appointed Local Government Education Authority Board members and monitoring team where a first female Education Secretary was sworn- in with other appointees at the Local Government Secretariat, Ota
In his welcome address, the Council Boss Engr. Sheriff Adewale Musa FCPA appreciated God Almighty for giving Ogun State a good leader in His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR that has the interest of the people at heart. In his words, "the Governor of our dear State is a developmental personalty that wants the best for our pupils and people of the State at all times". He has raised the level of education to an enviable heights and has restored Ogun State as the home of education in the Nation.
The Chairman also added to the admiration of the gathering that the newly sworn- in Education Secretary Alhaja Ajayi Badmus Rukayat happens to be the first female Education Secretary of the board in the history of the Council . He further stated that the people of the Local Government area will ever remain grateful to the Governor for His kind guestures at all times.
He added that Ogun State through Ado-Odo/ Ota Local Government has won National Laurels through the good system being operated by the visionary Governor of the State. He reminded the gathering that St Michaels African Church School 1 Ota was adjudged the best public Primary school in Nigeria by the Federal Ministry of Education during the 2022 world teachers Day Celebration and President's Teacher's Schools Excellence Award held at the Nation's Capital. He however charged the newly sworn-in Board members and Monitoring Officers to see their appointment as a call to service and also to use their wealth of experience to the development of primary Education in Ogun State.

In her response and vote of thanks, the newly sworn-in Education Secretary Alhaja Ajayi Badmus Rukayat on behalf of other members appreciated God Almighty and thanked the Governor of the state for opportunity given to contribute their quota to the development of Ado-Odo/Ota and Ogun State. She promised the Chairman of total dedication to the development of primary Education in the Council area. In her words, I am the first female Education Secretary in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, my tenure will consolidate on past administration in Ado-Odo/Ota.
She equally appreciated the Deputy Governor of Ogun State Her Excellency Engr. Noimat Salako Oyedele for the exemplary leadership role towards the development of the Council area.
Dignitaries at the event along with the Chairman were, political functionaries and career heads of Ado-Odo Ota Local Government, Kabiyesi Olukotun of Otun Ota, Oba Akeem Odunaro, Parakoyi oloja ilu Ota, Alhaji Lamidi, Ex- officio of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Chief Kemi Adeogun, party faithfuls, families and friends amongst others.
