Infastructure: Dapo Abiodun is Fair, Just and Equitable - Deputy Governor|Omohglobalnews

 


Deputy Governor of Ogun state, Her Excellency, Engr. (Mrs) Noimot Oyede Salako has  commended  the state governor,  Prince Dapo Abiodun for being just, fair and equitable in distribution of infastructure in the state.

The deputy governor made the commendation at a symposium organised by the Central Working Committee (CWC) of All Progressive Congress (APC) at the Local Government Secretariat last Saturday,  January 28, 2023.

According to her,  the Dapo Abiodun led administration has been just, fair and equitable in infastructure distribution in the  state, saying that the governor had visited virtually all the local government areas in the state, adding that before this administration,  various local government can testify that there is no equitable infastructure development in the state".In some places there are massive development whereas some have not seen bitumen in their area" she said. For  instance, Imeko Afon,  where past governors have not visited for the past 20 years, the governor has visited the place and commissioned a gigantic road project for the benefit of the communities in the area.



 Dapo Abiodun led Administration has been a plus to Ogun state because he is the only governor for the first time continuing with the  work of his predecessor, unlike their past predecessors who abandoned some projects that is beneficial to the state and started with new project entirely. 

She further said business hub has improved the state, therefore frantic efforts is being made to resuscitate Afro cargo Airport in Illisan ,  which was approved during Otunba Gbenga Daniel but subsequently ignored and dumbed by his  predecessor . Meanwhile,the Afro Cargo Airport under construction is partnering with a group into agro processing zone which will provide about 25,000 jobs in next 15 months.

Federal/ State Roads

Commenting on the deplorable of roads in the state, the deputy governor made it known that there are controversial roads, which belong to federal roads in the state but the state is doing its best to repair some of them.

"As sub national,some roads are in exclusive list in which state government can't do anything because of the fundamental influence of our constitution" She affirmed

"Rigorous effort, especially on road networking between Ogun and Lagos state, has always been the administration's priority and necessary action will be taken to ensure improvement of the lives of the citizens",  she assured.

Collarobating  with his  Lagos state counterpart,  she said  they have asked  contractors working on the road to fast track their efforts in completion of the road and bring relief to the citizens. The same with the contractors working on Lagos/ Abeokuta express way, toll gate side and  Atan, Lusada / Agbara road.

She reiterated thatA PC led government in Lagos and Ogun state are making efforts to link all roads between Lagos and Ogun states despite the exclusive list challenges. 

She however assured that 300 houses have been approved for construction in Ado, Odo/ OTA despite land challenges.

In her extempore speech, she appealed to every professional organisations and business communities present to get their permanent voter's card, canvass and come out em mass to vote for all APC candidate for the presidential, national assembly, governorship and state assembly election come February 25th and March 11th 2023 general election.
