The Corps Commander/CEO, 'Seni Ogunyemi, of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, TRACE, has warned motorists to be wary of major causes of accident in this yuletide and take necessary caution.
He mentioned such major causes of accident as over-speed, driving in directions prohibited by traffic regulations, aka 'One Way', wrongful overtaking, dangerous driving, taking alcohol while driving, to mention but a few.
Commander Ogunyemi gave the warning when speaking on phone with our correspondent while reacting to a fatal accident that killed a young lady early Tuesday morning in Odogbolu.
According to an eye witness account the accident which involved a Volvo car and one motorcycle also injured four occupants of the car and killed the passenger on the commercial motorcycle.
It was gathered that the accident which occurred due to over-speed on the part of the Volvo car driver, hitting the boxer bike from the rear happened at Odogbolu axis before Rite foods industry, outbound ijebu Ode Benin Express Way at 7.59 am.
Confirming the report, Commander Ademolu reporting for Ijebu-Ode Divisional Commander both the Volvo car and the motorcycle did not have registration numbers.
He said TRACE Operatives had rushed the four injured victims, two males and two females, to the general hospital, while the presumed dead victim had been deposited at ijebu Ode Mortuary.
