Tears as David Mark’s Son is Laid to Rest in Benue

It was a moment of grief and testimonials of a life of service to humanity as Nigerians from all walks of life converged on Otukpo, Benue State to bid Tunde, the deceased eldest son of former Senate President David Mark farewell yesterday.

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom and his deputy Benson Abounu were among many top politicians, religious leaders and the academia that thronged the home of the former Senate President to bid farewell to the man everyone agreed was a gem.

Governor Ortom, who spoke during the requiem mass at the private residence of Senator Mark in Otukpo, described the late Tunde as a great man and a bridge builder, recalling how he supported his father to excel as Senate President and paved the way for people to see him even without prior appointments.

Consoling Mark’s family over Tunde’s passage, Governor Ortom prayed God to give his wife and daughter the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss
